You know that meme My mind is like an internet browser : 19 tabs are open, 3 of them are frozen and I have no idea where the music is coming from?
I feel this today.
I woke up super early to have the house to myself and get this post done. But I’ve since made bread dough, got my resume on screen to update, downloaded a slipper pattern, ordered supplies for a granola pop up and measured my living room door frame.
In the meantime, the whole house got up and we had coffee and asked each other how we slept and now I’m back in the same spot.
My husband also let the chickens out in the yard for the first time since September (because I’ve been nervous since a fox sadly got ahold of a few), and now I see them scampering out my window and I’ve been happily watching that for a bit too.
Now, this might look like multitasking but essentially I’ve done a lot of small ridiculous things and not accomplished what I actually need to. Like write this post.
That slipper pattern was such a good deal though.
So I’m going to finish up this basically nothing post and head outside. Clearly I’ve got some meditating to do, which means a hike in the bush is in order for me today. I need that gentle swish swish of the leaves as I walk, which is so good for my mood.
It makes me feel super relaxed, even when my insides are spinning.
Anywho, this may be a nothing post, but the recipes are anything but! I’m sharing one of my favourite meal prep soups and an easy and hearty Sunday dinner idea. Also, my husband was surprised when I handed him a broiled grapefruit half this morning. He thought I invented it, when actually people have been doing it for a long time.
I hope you’re having a great weekend and getting all the things done!

I remember my grandmother (best lady on earth), eating a half a grapefruit every single day. Sometimes when I would sleep over she would share one with me and meticulously edge around all of the sections so I could just pop a juicy piece out. She also topped it with an ample amount of white sugar. I loved sharing this little daily ritual with her. Or maybe I just loved her with my whole being which made the grapefruit taste so much better.
