I've missed this.
I’ve wanted to get back to writing for a really long time.
I miss writing. I miss sharing food and experiences with others. Mistakes. Successes. Curious things. My only goal for 2023 was to start writing in some capacity again. And here we are!
I started as a food blogger several years ago. I remember spring 2011 and that first post of a carrot cake (which I don’t think I ever made again btw). I loved writing those posts and couldn’t wait to hit that publish button and send my thoughts out to the universe. Blogging was where it was at!
A lot has changed in that time. I’ve had some amazing opportunities. I’ve had some heartache. I’ve taken some risks that have changed who I am. I’ve accomplished things that make me feel proud. It's been a ride since that first post 12 years ago.
My culinary world has expanded so much in the last few years too. Food has become a huge part of my life.
I’ve been plant-based.
I’ve been strict vegan.
I’ve been gluten free.
I wrote a recipe e-book.
I founded a food company.
Now I simply choose not to label myself. My goal is to feed my family seasonally with the best food that is available to me. I’m excited to share some of these discoveries and recipes with a food loving community!
I also want to write about things that are not food related. Personal essays of sorts. Sometimes funny. Sometimes not. This will be a safe space for you and me where I can be authentically myself. Where I may share with you my love of pie in one post (it runs deep) and talk about the year that broke me in another.
